This week’s car donation features a 1998 Toyota Camry that was donated to Alabama Public Radio through the Car Talk Vehicle Donation Program. Car Talk works with local public radio stations across the nation. Car Talk ensures that each station gets the most from the proceeds of your donation. This enables your favorite programs to continue fostering thoughtful discussion, trustworthy information, and engaging entertainment. Your car donation helps keep your favorite public radio programming on air.
This donation was directed to Alabama Public Radio. This donation will go directly to APR and help support the programs you enjoy. APR accepts all kinds of vehicles including cars, trucks, boats, RVs, motorcycles, and more.
This donor shares his experience with his 1998 Toyota Camry:
My mom donated this gem to me about 12 years ago when she realized she no longer needed to drive. It had less than 35000 miles on it. I’m a veterinarian and for the last six years I drive it to work with my Bloodhound (Jed) and my Frenchie (Pearl) four days a week. It smells like a Hound Dog and a Frenchie, has accumulated lots of hair and slobber, but has resulted in an abundance of smiles for others watching our commute. Mom always wanted me to seek the truth so it’s fitting for me to donate it to NPR just as she donated it to me!
