This week’s car donation features a 2010 BMW X5 that was donated to WABE through the Car Talk Vehicle Donation Program. 90.1 FM WABE is Atlanta’s source for news and local stories. WABE’s programs, podcasts, and events inform and connect the millions of listeners throughout the Greater Atlanta region. WABE provides news, entertainment, and information via radio, TV, and on its website. When you donate your car, truck, motorcycle, boat, or RV to WABE, you’ll receive a tax deduction while supporting your favorite Atlanta Public Radio station.
This donor shares his story with his 2010 BMW and why he chose to donate to WABE:
This is the car my children learned how to drive and also where they learned to listen to WABE. They were introduced to NPR by their grandmother who never listened to anything other than public radio. She also introduced me to public radio in Philadelphia when I was just a kid. This has been a great vehicle for the family. Family trips, soccer trips, all kind of adventures, but the morning drives to school were special bonding times when we discussed the news and local events.
Does your car have a special story? We’d love to share it on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Email us your donor story and photos!
