2024 Car Donations in Review

A Look Back At 2024

2024 was a milestone year for Advanced Remarketing Services; since our inception we have helped raise over $325,000,000 for our charity partners. To be honest, that number is so big it almost loses its impact. As humans we tend to see large numbers as statistics and small ones as more meaningful or easier to connect with, but here at ARS we know the work and partnership that goes into reaching that big number and the individual donors and their stories that get us there. Every donor has a story and every donated car makes a difference.

Some of Our of Favorite Highlights From 2024:

#1 – 5th year in a row we helped a single partner raise over $10,000,000.

Shoot for the moon and even if you miss you’ll land among the stars… with this partnership we keep landing on the moon and the stars! Year after year this program delivers consistent volume and revenue growth. With a robust digital marketing strategy and strong brand loyalty and trust, the program is able to attract car donors who are motivated to make a difference with their donation.

#2 – We added large and small charity brands to our family.

We are proud to work with nonprofits that align with our values as a social enterprise. While the landscape for adding new charities is vast, we are focused on adding quality partners vs quantity. So in addition to continuing to drive growth for our current portfolio, we were proud to add new charities working in new spaces like Shatterproof’s work on fighting addiction, Planned Parenthood California Central Coast providing comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare, The Endowment Project Foundation raising funds for public high schools, UNHCR USA supporting refugees in the US, American Legion Post 43 as part of the nation’s largest wartime veterans organization devoted to serving vets, youth and the community, and Rhode Island and Connecticut YMCA Alliance helping individuals and families build a healthy mind, body and spirit through inclusive lifestyle and wellness programs.

#3 – The 5 highest selling car donations of 2024 grossed over $130k with all five bringing in over $20,000 each!

5. Coming in at 5th place with $23,300 was a 2017 Newmar Bay Star Sport M-2903 for HFH of Chester County.

4. In 4th place we have a beautiful 2011 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Cargo Van 2500 which sold for $24,000 supporting the American Cancer Society.

3. The Scottish Rite Masonic Center received a 2006 Pleasure Way TS Motor Home which sold for $24,200!

2. A 2020 Subaru CrossTrek was a big seller supporting public radio in Boston through WBUR with a gross selling price of $28,000.

1. And topping the charts at $35,300 was a gorgeous 2007 Bentley Continental Convertible for WDET in Detroit.

#4 – Twelve cars sold for over $20,000

We are proud to have helped our partners bring in significant unrestricted revenue through high value car donations. Our remarketing team triages every vehicle that comes in and through a real time checklist, pinging an active database, we are able to determine the best avenue of sale for the greatest ROI for the charity and the donor.  And because we continue to return the highest percentage of gross in the industry, our charity benefits greatly from these altruistic donations.

#5 – Investments in a strong team.

Office life and culture will likely never look like it did before the pandemic. Balancing the benefits of remote work with the camaraderie and collaboration achieved in person, ARS continues to support our staff at our HQ office in Rhode and those across the country to ensure we are a strong, united team ready to deliver excellent services to our clients. In addition to local volunteering and team building opportunities, we regularly make sure to engage all staff in our services and network. We are learning and growing as we go and look forward to continuing to add caring, dedicated staff members to our team.

As we reflect on another successful year for our partners, we are more excited than ever to continue to grow these programs to help raise crucial unrestricted funds for their various missions. For more than 15 years we have returned over 80% of the gross sale to our charity clients, with the last two years over 86%.  We are so proud to do work every day that helps people get affordable housing, fund critical cancer research, protect children all over the world, provide healthcare and athletic opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities, and more. Here’s to another fantastic year ahead of car donation that is already off to a great start.
