Today, we’re taking a look at a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria that was donated to KCLU through the Car Talk Vehicle Donation Program. KCLU is Ventura and Santa Barbara’s source of local, regional, national and global issues. Your car donation to KCLU will help support programming such as “Here and Now,” “All Things Considered”, and “Fresh Air”. This NPR car donation is a special one– it was used as a “Gotham City” police car in The Dark Knight Rises!

Front of 1998 Ford Crown Victoria
This car was featured in the film The Dark Knight Rises. It was a Gotham City police car. It has a custom E brake for rear wheels lockup. Both rear wheels have extra Wildwood calipers for sliding. I purchased this car after working in stunts on the film, as a practice car and backup commuter car.
