A windy and overcast Saturday brought hundreds together for an amazing cause: the March for Babies!
This year’s March for Babies was not going to be rained on. Advanced Remarketing team members gathered together and raised over $2,000, doubling our goal and making a huge difference in the lives of pregnant women and babies.
We endured the wind and rain to walk the 3-mile course through the beautiful property of Colt State Park.
We would like to thank everyone who participated and those who donated towards our efforts.
The fundraising goal for this event is 200,000, and to date, $135,851 has been raised. March of Dimes is accepting donations to meet this goal until May 27, so you can still donate!
Why support March of Dimes?
Did you know that around half a million babies are born with birth defects, or prematurely in the US? March of Dimes fights premature birth and works to support the health of all mothers and babies.
The funds raised from the March for Babies and from vehicle donations funds critical research and support of prematurely born babies and their families.
In Rhode Island, the preterm birth rate is 8.3% of all live births. That is a decrease from 10.8% in 2007, but there is still room for improvement. Every donation makes a difference for babies born early and the mothers who love them.
