I can’t think of anything better than snuggling up to my favorite pup at the end of a long day. The love that a dog shares with their humans is unlike any other. This is why National dog day is so important! National Dog Day is August 26th, and this day brings awareness that so many loving dogs need great fur-ever homes so that they can share their endless love with you!
We celebrate a weekly Dog Day in our office every Friday. One lucky employee gets to bring their pup to work! I brought my dog, Mookie in the other week and it was fun for everyone, especially Mookie!
National Dog day was founded in 2004 by Pet & Family Lifestyle Expert and Animal Advocate, Colleen Paige, also the founder of National Puppy Day, National Mutt Day, National Cat Day and many more.
I understand not everyone is a dog person, but there are still so many ways you can help! By donating your car to a great charity you can provide food, shelter, blankets, dog beds, toys. Also, you will provide funds that allow shelters to hold adoption events.
Adoption events are important because it brings many people to the shelter. They also allow more of a chance for people to adopt these animals all at once! Also, this allows more room to bring in abandoned and surrendered puppies.
A dog doesn’t need a car, but they sure do need treats! That’s why Car Donation Wizard sells all donated vehicles at auction. We return between 75-80% of the gross proceeds directly to the charity of your choice. That’s a great way to help an amazing charity, such as North Shore Animal League, ASPCA, Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue, Greyhound Welfare, and Canine Companions for Independence.
I cannot imagine what the fear of being abandoned must feel like. It is the mission of many shelters across the United States to make the animals’ stay as comfortable as possible. Donate your car to help provide the best care possible while these furry friends await their new home.
If you have a car that you are no longer using, or are just looking to make a difference, consider donating your vehicle today. This can make an incredible difference in the lives of these animals, and raise awareness within your community. And, it’s a great way to celebrate National Dog Day!
