The selfie can be polarizing (or Polaroidzing?). People tend to love or hate these digital self-portraits, but on National Selfie Day, we want to share some of our favorite donor selfies.
We work with a range of charities, helping fight childhood hunger, cancer, and a lack of affordable decent housing, to name a few. Though the work accomplished by these organizations may vary, the passion of our donors does not! Our generous donors send in selfies from across the country, with big smiles showing how good it feels to give back with a charity car donation!
Take a look at some of the faces driving vehicle donations!
American Cancer Society: Cars for a Cure
The American Cancer Society leads the fight against cancer in our country. They work to provide much-needed support to cancer patients and their families, as well as groundbreaking research into prevention and treatment. The Cars for a Cure donation program brings life-changing benefits, including rides to and from treatment for cancer patients and eliminating health disparities in under-served communities. It’s hard not to smile when you know your cancer car donation makes a real difference in the fight.
Habitat for Humanity: Cars for Homes
Habitat for Humanity is building a world where everyone has a decent place to live, in your community and around the world. When you donate a car to Habitat for Humanity, the funds go directly to your local affiliate and uplifts your community.
Knowing that you are helping provide shelter to those in need is certainly something to smile about!
Car Talk: Cars into Programs
No matter where you are in the US, you can turn on your radio and tune into your local NPR station, or your TV to PBS. Whether you are looking for new music or dynamic programs or investigatory news, NPR has you covered. The types of vehicles that folks donate is as varied and diverse as Public Radio’s broadcasting. Support independent media when you donate a vehicle!
Wherever you choose to donate your vehicle, you can trust that you are helping to support the mission that you trust.
If you don’t have a vehicle to donate, but you’re hungry for more donor selfies, don’t forget to follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for more donor stories and charity news!
