The 250 SL is one of three models in the W113 Mercedes-Benz series that was introduced at the 1967 Geneva Motor Show. The 250 SL was in production for only one year, starting in December 1966 and ending in January 1968, which makes it the rarest of the W113 series cars. It is the most popular car that Mercedes-Benz ever built and is extremely popular with collectors.
This donated vehicle features a rare Pagoda Top and is more popularly known as the “Pagoda” Coupe because of the unique shape of its roof line. The 250 SL was quite advanced for its era, having four-wheel disc brakes, all-independent suspension and a mechanically fuel injected six cylinder engine. The donated vehicle features a hardtop, convertible frame. This vehicle is in need of a full restoration but once complete, it will be extremely valuable.
