February 4 is World Cancer Day, an annual global initiative led by the Union for International Cancer Control. World Cancer Day works to build a world without cancer by raising worldwide awareness, improving education and catalyzing personal, collective and government action.
‘I Am and I Will’
This year’s campaign theme is ‘I Am and I Will‘. It is a three-year campaign that aims to have long-lasting impact by increasing public-facing exposure and engagement, creating more opportunities to build global awareness and inspiring action.
Ways you can take action:
- Share a social media post with your commitment to make a change!
- Write a blog, article, or record a video message.
- Host your own event.
- Advocate for action by writing to your local government representatives.
