How do I release the liability of my donated vehicle in Connecticut (CT)?

• The state of Connecticut DOES NOT require a Certificate of Title in order to transfer ownership of vehicles produced prior to 1995. In this case the most recent registration and a Bill of Sale to Advanced Remarketing Services is sufficient.
• In order to complete your Connecticut car donation, transfer your title by entering the name of our authorized agent, ADVANCED REMARKETING SERVICES in the buyer/purchaser field. Please PRINT and SIGN your name in the seller/owner field EXACTLY as it appears at the top of the title.
• License plates must be returned to the CT DMV after vehicle pick up. You are required to complete registration and plate cancellation, which can be done online at the CT DMV Portal: https://dmvcivls-wselfservice.ct.gov/Registration/TerminateindividualReg
• Remember to remove your electronic toll collection system from your vehicle as well as removing the vehicle from the account when the vehicle is picked up.
